Bournemouth are keen to keep forward Antoine Semenyo (25) until the end of the season despite growing interest from several Premier League clubs, as reported by Sky Sports.
The 25-year-old has a £65m release clause that becomes active in January, with Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City all monitoring his situation. Spurs are understood to be stepping up their interest ahead of the winter window, while other top-flight sides have also been tracking the Ghana international.
Bournemouth, however, want to avoid losing one of their key performers midway through the campaign. The club are open to selling Semenyo for a lower fee later in the year, or agreeing a pre-contract in January that would see him move after next summer’s World Cup.
Semenyo has been a central figure in Andoni Iraola’s side and Bournemouth are reluctant to disrupt their momentum without a suitable replacement. The Cherries are exploring attacking options but do not currently have an immediate alternative lined up.
With his pace, versatility and improving end product, Semenyo has become one of the most sought-after forwards outside the Premier League’s traditional elite. Bournemouth now face a balancing act: maximise his value or keep him for a crucial run-in, knowing that interest will only intensify as January approaches.
