Paris Saint-Germain look unlikely to get a move for Bournemouth’s Illia Zabarnyi (22) over the line before the FIFA Club World Cup transfer deadline, according to L’Équipe.
The PSG squad fly to Los Angeles today as preparations for their Club World Cup campaign ramp up. They do so without any new players being added to their squad. It had been hoped that a deal for Zabarnyi could be completed in time, however, that now looks highly unlikely. Clubs have until the end of Tuesday to sign players in time to register them for the upcoming tournament in the USA.
However, there is still a gap in the valuation of Zabarnyi. PSG have already offered over €50m for the centre-back, however, Bournemouth rate him at €70m. As a result, negotiations have not advanced. Of course, a deal can still happen, and the second summer transfer opens in less than a week. Given the difference in valuation, talks may, however, take time.
