Bove strikes late as Watford climb to ninth | OneFootball

Watford beat Wrexham 3-1 at Vicarage Road to rise from 10th to ninth in the Championship.

In the 18th minute Marc Bola swept in from the left after Giorgi Chakvetadze's break to give the hosts the lead.

Edo Kayembe doubled the advantage (38.) with a low strike from outside the box after a Nestory Irankunda surge.

After the restart Max Cleworth pulled one back with a close-range header from Oliver Rathbone's corner (49.).

Edoardo Bove replaced the injured Kayembe (83.). He then settled it in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time, finishing from close range moments after Arthur Okonkwo had saved from Mamadou Doumbia.

It was Bove's first goal for the club since joining in January.

The Hornets registered 13 attempts, six on target. Wrexham had 57.7% possession but produced only one effort on target from eight attempts.
