Bóveda, Athletic ambassador at the 66th Biscayan Football Coaches’ Day | OneFootball

Eneko Bóveda and Martín Urrejola represented Athletic at the 66th Biscayan Football Coaches’ Day, an awards event at Bilbao’s Hotel Carlton for champions from each territorial category.

According to as.com, Bóveda is a member of Athletic’s technical structure and a former defender for Eibar, Athletic and Deportivo, while Urrejola oversees relations with affiliated clubs for the club of Ibaigane.

Committee president Félix García Marañón, together with the head of the School of Coaches, Txirri Quintanilla, and Biscayan Federation president Iñaki Gómez Mardones, honoured Alejandro Bastida.

The veteran coach of Zalla, Gernika, San Pedro, Leioa and Retuerto was recognised for 40 years on provincial benches and received the fourth Alfredo Norzagaray trophy, named after the emblematic former Committee president.

After a meal at the central hotel on Plaza Moyúa, title-winning coaches, some very young, took the lectern with their teams, then assembled for a group photo in the hall.
