Brasileirão on the rise: check the 16th-round head-to-heads

After the second-leg matches of the 5th Round of the Copa do Brasil, teams now turn their attention to the 16th round of the Brasileirão Betano, which begins this Saturday, the 16th, with four matches, and ends on Sunday, the 17th, with six more games. This will be the third-to-last round before the break for the World Cup.

On Saturday, Atlético-MG vs. Mirassol and Internacional vs. Vasco open the round at 6:30 p.m. In Belo Horizonte, Galo will face Mirassol at home for the 2nd time in history. In 2025, they won 1-0, with a goal by center-back Vítor Hugo. Meanwhile, in Porto Alegre, at Beira-Rio, Inter and Vasco, who already met in the 1979 Brasileirão final, will face each other for the 31st time in the South. On Sunday morning, at 11 a.m., Santos host Coritiba at Vila Belmiro, replaying the midweek clash in the Copa do Brasil, in which Peixe came out on top in Curitiba (2-0). In the Brasileirão, at home, Santos have won the last 7 meetings at Vila and have not lost there to Coxa since 2011.

At 4 p.m., Botafogo and Corinthians play at Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro. In the last five matches, there have been two wins for each side and one draw, in 2025 (1-1). At the same time, Bahia and Grêmio face off in Salvador, where the Bahia Tricolor have the edge (14 wins, 6 draws, and 9 losses).
