Santos drew 1-1 with Guarani in the third round of the Paulistão, Gabriel Brazão outstanding as a last-gasp corner denied them in Campinas after Escobar failed to contain Kewen.

According to Globo.com, Brazão produced several key stops, including keeping out a spot-kick conceded by Zé Ivaldo, and later thwarted Dentinho.

Juan Vojvoda moved Rollheiser centrally before the break, then Santos controlled the game after half-time. Willian Arão picked out Vini Lira, whose cross was turned in by Barreal for 1-0.

Barreal and Thaciano had earlier spurned fine chances before the interval, and a Thaciano finish was ruled out after Lautaro Díaz’s involvement. The forward also squandered a sitter near the six-yard box.

Adonis Frías was assured, while Mayke struggled for control on his flank. Zé Rafael was quiet and withdrawn early in the half, Gabriel Menino tested Caíque França from range. João Schmidt could not help close it out, Robinho Jr was subdued, and Miguelito arrived too late to rate.
