Brazil could field an experimental centre-back pairing of Bremer and Leo Pereira against France on Thursday at nine pm after injuries to Marquinhos, Gabriel and Eder Militao.
According to L'Équipe, Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil's head coach, has lost Arsenal defender Gabriel to a right knee injury sustained at the weekend in the English League Cup final, a 0-2 defeat to Manchester City. Marquinhos has had muscle discomfort since Monday's training, so no risks will be taken.
He could feature in the second game of the Seleçao tour, against Croatia in the early hours of Wednesday, at two am. With Eder Militao also sidelined, Ancelotti will field a very experimental partnership at centre-back.
Bremer of Juventus Turin is 29 with five caps, and had not been called up since the 2024 Copa America. Leo Pereira of Flamengo could win his first cap at 30.
Other notable absences include Alisson in goal, Bruno Guimaraes in midfield and Rodrygo in attack. Raphinha returns after missing the last two autumn camps, a significant boost in a forward line where Ancelotti has plenty of options.
