Brazil U17 women call up squad for camp, three from Corinthians

Throughout this Thursday (26th), the coach of the Brazilian Women's Under-17 National Team, Rilany Silva, called up 31 athletes for a training period at the Dartanhã Training Center in Guararema, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, from March 5th to 15th. Among the called-up players, three are from Corinthians.

They are: defender Kaillany, along with midfielders Pepê and Carol Melo, all born in 2009 and aged between 16 and 17. It is worth noting that throughout February, Corinthians had an athlete representing the Brazilian team during a training period at the Football Development Center in Sergipe, Aracaju, the state capital: goalkeeper Nathalia Borges.

The preparation aims at the South American Under-17 Championship, which will be held in April, although the venue has not yet been defined by Conmebol. In recent months, Corinthians has frequently had athletes called up to wear the Brazilian jersey. In the Women's World Cup of the category, for example, goalkeeper Ana Morganti, defender Dany Pereira, midfielders Pepê and Carol Melo, along with forward Dulce Maria represented Brazil in the campaign that secured fourth place in the tournament.
