West Ham continue to secure necessary attacking reinforcements under Nuno Espírito Santo after completing a £25 million move for Lazio's Taty Castellanos.

In what has been a disappointing 2025/26 season for the Hammers, with the capital club fighting to avoid relegation, the 27-year-old Argentine arrives at the London Stadium as one of a few winter reinforcements, following in the wake of the club's move for Gil Vicente's Pablo.
Speaking on the move Castellanos said: "I'm really happy because it's a very important challenge for me personally and I've come to contribute, to try to help the team as much as I can,” said Castellanos.
“Every match is a battle, and I'm here to contribute that, to try to bring that energy, that fighting spirit I have inside, so that every match is as important and as tough as possible.
“I hope to give my all to the fans. I've always defended the jersey of every team with the utmost responsibility, and I want to tell them that I'm going to give everything, to defend this jersey, and obviously, to achieve our goals day after day. That's the most important thing.”
Before arriving in the English capital, Castellanos enjoyed a brilliant spell with MLS side NYCFC, scoring 58 goals across 124 appearances in all competitions that earned him a loan move to Spanish outfit Girona, where he bagged 14 in 37.
Castellanos then moved on to Lazio, where he would hit the back of the net 22 times in 98 appearances.
