Breakthrough Barcelona youngster has left coaching staff ‘amazed’ | OneFootball

An emerging member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has left the club’s coaching staff in awe with his talents.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Jofre Torrents as the player in question.

Youngster Jofre’s name has of course emerged as an altogether prominent one in Catalunya’s capital over the last few months.

This comes after the left-back, just 18, was afforded the chance to impress at senior level in pre-season.

And safe to say, Jofre went on to take full advantage of this opportunity.

As per a report from MD:

‘Jofre Torrents is one of the sensations of the Barça squad. He has amazed the Blaugrana coaching staff.’

Such endeavours have culminated in the Spaniard being afforded a permanent spot in Hansi Flick’s squad, expected to be afforded plenty of playing time over the course of the season.

One such appearance could even come this weekend, with Alejandro Balde set to miss Barca’s post-international break return to action against Valencia.
