Breno Bidon becomes Corinthians’ new number 7 after midfielder’s exit

Breno Bidon will now wear the number 7 jersey for Corinthians. The club announced the change in the midfielder's number early this Saturday afternoon. Previously wearing the number 27, the player inherited the new number following Maycon's departure to Atlético-MG, which left the number 7 available. Internally, Timão assessed that the young player, one of the highlights of the last season, met the requirements to assume the number.

Trained in the youth categories of Corinthians, Breno Bidon has already played 101 matches for the professional team, 77 of them as a starter. During this period, he participated in 45 victories, 27 draws, and 29 defeats, and was an important part of the campaigns for the titles of the 2025 Paulista Championship and the Brazil Cup.

The jersey change occurs amid speculations about possible interest from Flamengo in signing the midfielder. Despite this, Corinthians made it clear that they will only negotiate the athlete upon full payment of the release clause.

Breno Bidon is contracted with the alvinegro club until December 2029. The stipulated release clause for transfers abroad is 100 million euros, about R$ 627 million, while for Brazilian football teams the amount is around R$ 370 million.
