Brentford are in talks with Kevin Schade over a new long-term contract to keep the winger in west London amid interest from Premier League rivals.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea and Tottenham admire the 24-year-old, while Arsenal and Liverpool were considered the keenest suitors last summer.
Schade has started strongly, scoring three in Brentford’s first five league games. The unbeaten Bees sit fourth, and his form earned a Germany recall, starting Jurgen Klopp’s first two matches as national coach, who is still seeking a first win.
Schade has entered the final two years of his current deal, increasing Brentford’s urgency to secure fresh terms. Head coach Keith Andrews would like to extend his stay, confirmed that discussions have begun, and said he is not closely involved in the negotiations while praising the player’s start.
Andrews’ early-September remarks followed Schade’s deft flick at Leeds to open his account for the season, and preceded a sharp brace at Bournemouth that underlined his range and confidence. The manager described him as focused, in his best form since taking charge, and a key part of the group.
Brentford made Schade’s loan from Freiburg permanent in June 2023 for £22m, then a club-record fee. He has 24 Premier League goals in 107 appearances, including 11 in 2024/25 under Thomas Frank, and last term started 32 league games for Andrews, scoring eight.
