Brentford's Antoni Milambo suffers ACL injury | OneFootball

Brentford have announced that midfielder Antoni Milambo has suffered an ACL injury while on international duty.

Milambo picked up the injury while playing for the Netherlands U21 side and was substituted half way through his side's 0-0 draw with Bosnia & Herzegovina with Groningen's Jorg Schreuders taking his place.

The injury means that the Bees' new signing will likely miss the rest of the 2025/26 season as he is set to undergo surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation period.

The 20-year-old managed just three appearances for Brentford following his reported £16 million move from Feyenoord in the summer.

Milambo made his debut on opening day at home to Nottingham Forest and featured in League Cup matches against Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

Last season, Milambo had an eye-catching campaign in the Netherlands, scoring seven and assisting seven in 42 games for his side.
