Brian Brobbey plays down Chelsea and Bayern links amid Sunderland rise | OneFootball

Brian Brobbey has cooled talk of a move to Chelsea or Bayern Munich, saying he has not heard anything concrete about a transfer.

The Sunderland striker has drawn attention after a strong Premier League debut season, making 27 appearances and scoring six goals.

“It is always nice when such a big club shows interest, but I haven’t heard anything myself. So, I don’t know,” he said. The interview was with ViaPlay.

Pressed on a possible switch to Germany, the 24-year-old added: “I don’t know. I’m not thinking about that right now.”

Brobbey joined from Ajax last summer and has adapted quickly under Régis Le Bris. His form earned a Netherlands recall from Ronald Koeman, and he won his ninth and 10th senior caps last month against Norway and Ecuador.

Sunderland visit Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.
