Luka Vuskovic shone at both ends as Brighton drew 1-1 with Leeds, topping the player ratings after a commanding display and the equaliser. According to WeAreBrighton.com, the 19-year-old led the scores with 8.00 from fan votes.

Brighton were poor before half-time, then much improved after the break. Unlike at Chelsea, they did not collapse early, with Vuskovic, Lewis Dunk and Bart Verbruggen keeping the damage down.

Early in the second half, Verbruggen made two fine saves, the first with an outstretched leg. Vuskovic then headed in from a Maxim De Cuyper corner. Dunk also produced a goal-line block after Dominic Calvert-Lewin rounded Verbruggen from a Charalampos Kostoulas pass.

Malick Yalcouye drove Brighton on and was pulled down in the box, another referee might have awarded a penalty, but Stuart Attwell waved play on. De Cuyper’s delivery remained a threat. Kostoulas glided through but shot weakly at James Trafford, while Diego Gomez drew a good save with a volley.

It was a mixed set of marks elsewhere, with Ferdi Kadioglu and Promise David low, and Dunk, Verbruggen and Yasin Ayari rated well. Pascal Gross endured a poor afternoon, capped by a late miss from close range. Costinha featured only for the final 15 minutes.
