Brighton book Conferen League place with dominant win over Tromso | OneFootball

Brighton secured their place in the UEFA Conference League league phase with a dominant 4-0 victory over Tromso at the Amex Stadium.

Having drawn 0-0 in Norway last week, Fabian Hürzeler’s side produced another emphatic home performance following Sunday’s 4-0 Premier League victory over Aston Villa.

Brighton dominated from the outset and broke the deadlock midway through the first half. Their high press forced Tromso into an error, allowing Charalampos Kostoulas to collect the loose ball and drill a low finish into the far corner.

Maxim De Cuyper doubled the advantage soon afterwards, capitalising on another defensive mistake before calmly finding the bottom corner.

Mats Wieffer then made it 3-0 before half-time with a powerful volley after Olivier Boscagli’s cross took a deflection into his path.

The Seagulls continued to create chances after the interval, with Boscagli eventually adding a fourth eight minutes from time when his volley took a slight deflection on its way into the net.

Brighton’s second successive 4-0 home win completes an impressive start to the campaign and confirms another European adventure.
