Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa target Stefanos Tzimas is leaning towards a move to Brighton Hove & Albion ‘after very good talks’ with Fabian Hurzeler.
Both Spurs and Aston Villa are in the hunt for an attacker before the transfer window closes on Monday night, but Tzimas has long been viewed as a more likely summer mover.
The pair are keen on Nurnberg’s attacker, but they face competition for his signature.
Tzimas has impressed at Nurnberg, who are expected to make his loan move permanent in the summer and then sell him.
Brighton now appear to be in pole position to land Tzimas with their manager, Hurzeler, having held discussions with the forward.
According to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, Tzimas is now favouring a move to Brighton after having very good talks with the Seagulls boss.
Tottenham and Aston Villa are not out of the race, as they have also had concrete talks and negotiations with Nurnberg for the player.
Aston Villa are set to lose Jhon Duran, who is closing in on a move to Al Nassr, and they are keen to bring in a replacement.
Tzimas is currently on loan from POAK Salonika and Nurnberg are planning to trigger his €18m buy option.
The German outfit want a fee in the region of €25m before they sanction a move for the forward.
