Albion plan to add firepower before the new WSL season after summer signing Nadia Krezyman suffered an injury, with another scan due and the timeframe potentially on the longer side.
According to TheArgus.co.uk, head coach Dario Vidosic said rivals’ summer work has raised the bar and that Brighton still want to strengthen in attack while also assessing internal options with one forward already out. He highlighted the busy programme through to December and the need to build understanding in pre-season.
On the pitch, Brighton drew 1-1 with PSG at the Amex. Olivia Garcia led the line in the first half with Fran Kirby in support. After the interval, Madison Haley played centrally, missed an early chance, then unsettled the PSG defence.
Emily Murphy remains a central option although she featured wide on the left against PSG. Carla Camacho, signed after leaving Real Madrid last summer, did not feature.
Poland international Krezyman recently arrived from Dijon and has already undergone a scan, with a second expected this week. Vidosic indicated it currently looks more long term, while hoping that proves not to be the case. Maelys Mpome missed the PSG game with ankle swelling and Bex Raynor went off late after a head knock, with optimism it was not concussion.
