Brighton and Hove Albion are potentially in the market for a goalkeeper this summer, and RC Lens’ Robin Risser features on the Premier League side’s shortlist, according to a report from Florian Plettenberg. 

Risser, despite a recent dip in form, has excelled for Lens this season. He was even touted for a call-up to the France national team, given Lucas Chevalier’s demotion at Paris Saint-Germain. He has yet to make that step, but his performances have put Lens in the race for the title in Ligue 1 and led the club to the final of the Coupe de France. 

Just one year after arriving from RC Strasbourg Alsace, he could be on the move, with interest in his services growing. Plettenberg understands that, in the event of Bart Verbruggen leaving Brighton this summer, Risser is one of the candidates to replace him. Manchester City’s James Trafford and SC Freiburg’s Noah Atubolo also feature on their shortlist.
