Brisa Priori y Eugenia Flores have reached 100 matches for Boca Juniors, a milestone built on years of dedication and love for the club.
They began together in 2018 at reserve trials, joining at the same time with the dream of reaching the first team. “We never imagined we would stay so long in a place we love,” they said, speaking to the club’s official magazine.
Brisa, from San Miguel, once favoured hockey, the buzz of Russia 2018 nudged her towards Boca. Daily training brought a big physical leap, she has settled as an outside forward.
Eugenia, from Machagai in Chaco, travelled to Buenos Aires with family help, even raffles to fund the journeys. She never hesitated, and every match is a celebration for her family.
Both pick out the 2022 Copa Libertadores final as a high point, after competing with continental giants and the memory of a historic goal in that game. “It was absolute madness, I still see the ball go in and it was beautiful,” said Brisa.
They also regret the 2023 quarter-final exit, accept there is still ground to make up, and will keep working to go further.
They credit a family feeling in the dressing room. “The emotional support we have is key,” they added. Eugenia now shares a dressing room with role model Lorena Benítez.
“The most important thing is to keep defending Boca’s colours, the ones that make us vibrate.” Their motivation remains intact.
