The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 30-year-old joins Bristol City following a long spell with French Arkema Première Ligue club FC Fleury 91. Dafeur has been with Les Essonniennes since 2019 and she has helped the club to continue to compete at the top level. Dafeur has also spent time with FCF Hénin-Beaumont, Guingamp and Paris Saint-Germain in her senior career to date. In total, she has more than 200 senior career appearances to her name.
Dafeur is a versatile player. She can operate anywhere on the left side of the pitch. Bristol City have not yet indicated whether the player will feature at left-back or on the left of the midfield this season.
On the international stage, Dafeur represented France in her youth. She also picked up a couple of senior caps for Les Bleues before switching her allegiance to Algeria back in 2023.
Dafeur is Bristol City’s 13th signing of the summer transfer window. It is not yet known whether the player will be permitted to make her debut against Birmingham City at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park on Sunday.
