Man Utd are set to demand £10m for Radek Vitek after his impressive loan spell with Bristol City.
Roy Hodgson enjoyed a winning return to management with Bristol City, as his side overcame Charlton 2-1 at The Valley.
It was an encouraging performance from the Robins against the Addicks, and they will feel they merited the three points, as they were particularly dominant in the first half.
However, there’s no denying the hosts improved considerably after the break, and Bristol City had to rely on keeper Radek Vitek to produce some big moments to ensure they did secure the win.
The 22-year-old has been outstanding since he joined the club on loan from Man Utd in the summer, having established himself as the number one at Ashton Gate.

Whilst Vitek will finish the season with Bristol City, there are doubts about his long-term future, as he is understandably way down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
It has been claimed that United could look to cash in on the Czechia youth international in the summer window, with the stopper valued at £10m by the Premier League side.
When asked by FLW if that was a fair price, our Bristol City fan pundit, Tom Sandy, was clear it was having watched him this season, as he described him as one of the best keepers in the league - as he acknowledged Vitek’s performances would have put him out of the Robins’ reach.
“He has probably been our player of the season, he has been fantastic. In a squad that has struggled at times, he has been consistent, dominant in the air, and he has been one of the best keepers in the Championship this season.
“You just have to look at our defence. We’ve had Mark Sykes at right-back, Neto Borges at left centre-back, Noah Eile who only joined in January, and three of the back four against Charlton haven’t played most of the season, but we won because we had Vitek behind them.
“We’ve got 11 clean sheets this season, and when we’ve had the injury crisis we’ve had, which has meant midfielders playing in defence, for a team that has been so ravaged by injuries, but we continue to keep clean sheets, because Vitek has been so brilliant in goal.
“So, I think £10m is quite a good deal for him, although it’s not one I think we would spend, nor would I expect us to.
“We need a massive overhaul in the summer, where we will need to sign players in multiple positions, so £10m on a goalkeeper would be farcical, for anyone in the Championship really, unless it’s on a superstar, and a keeper often isn’t considered one.
“But, he’s a brilliant keeper, our player of the season, and I don’t think £10m is ridiculous at all. It’s probably what I’d expect, and unless we can get him on loan, we’re definitely going to miss him next season.”

Many Bristol City fans will agree that Vitek has been the standout performer this season, and it’s an example of the club using the loan market very well.
His displays this season are going to have caught attention, and it would be no surprise if Man Utd did receive offers of around £10m for Vitek when you consider his age, along with the potential he has to improve.
Clearly, that wouldn’t be a deal they could do, but it’s the risk you take when you sign a loan player, and the reality is that it has worked out for Bristol City.
Yet, it will give the club another problem going into the summer, as they are going to have to replace Vitek, which is going to be tough.
Obviously, the immediate priority will be naming a new sporting director and head coach, and then the hard work can begin in terms of reshaping the squad, as they’re short in many areas, including in goal.
So, the hierarchy is gearing up for some massive decisions, and there is pressure to get it right given the fan anger right now.
