Falkirk beat Dundee 1-0 at the Falkirk Stadium to stay sixth in the Scottish Premiership, Ben Broggio's second half finish proving decisive after Yan Dhanda missed a VAR-confirmed penalty late on.
After the restart, Ben Broggio struck in the 55th minute, guiding a right-footed effort from the centre of the box into the middle of the net.
Nicky Hogarth preserved the lead with sharp stops, including a high save to deny Joel Cotterill after the opener. Jon McCracken kept Dundee in it with a late save from Dylan Tait.
The Bairns freshened things up with a triple change (76.), introducing Brad Spencer, Calvin Miller and Finn Yeats to tighten control and protect the advantage.
Dundee were awarded a penalty in the second minute of stoppage time when Joe Bevan was fouled by Nicky Hogarth. VAR confirmed the spot kick. Dhanda then missed from the spot in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
Five minutes of added time were signalled before the penalty flashpoint, capping a tense finale.
The Bairns tallied 16 attempts, with three on target. Dundee produced 15 attempts and worked the goalkeeper four times.
Next, The Bairns host Dundee United. Dundee host Livingston next.
