Germany are set to be without Brown for their final World Cup Group E match against Ecuador. Sky Germany reports he missed the final training session on Wednesday morning, and Sport1 believes the 23-year-old has minor adductor problems and is likely to be rested as a precaution.

Julian Nagelsmann oversaw the last session before the squad departed for New York/New Jersey for the meeting with the South American side.

Brown instead undertook a light running session with athletic coach Krunoslav Banovcic.

Concerns over the left-back’s condition are not comparable to Nico Schlotterbeck’s, whose tournament ended through injury.

Germany have cover at left-back, with RB Leipzig’s David Raum ready to step in.
