FC Bayern is on the verge of its first major transfer coup of the summer. After intense negotiations, the Munich club and Eintracht Frankfurt have apparently reached a decisive breakthrough in the race to sign Nathaniel Brown. There are strong indications that the national team player’s transfer will be made official in the coming days.
FC Bayern officials have been working flat out for weeks to sign Nathaniel Brown. Now the transfer appears to be entering the home stretch.
According to information from BILD, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl and Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche have reached an agreement on the key points. The total transfer fee is said to amount to just under 65 million euros, including potential bonus payments.
This would make Brown one of the most expensive transfers in the history of the German record champions.
According to the report, there is currently only one outstanding issue between the two clubs. It concerns the exact structure of the deal. While Bayern would like to cover part of the sum through bonus payments, Frankfurt is pushing for the highest possible fixed amount.
However, the differences are considered manageable. Consequently, there is a high level of confidence on both sides that a final agreement will be reached shortly.
The player himself is also said to be keen to see the negotiations concluded quickly.
Brown would like to focus fully on the World Cup if possible and not take any unresolved questions about his future into the tournament.
Unlike last summer’s protracted transfer saga involving Nick Woltemade, there are currently no signs of a stalemate. Rather, all parties involved expect the transfer to be finalized soon.

Of particular interest: Since Brown is currently in the U.S. with the German national team, the mandatory medical exam could be conducted right there on site.
The organizational hurdles are considered minor. Medical data and documents could be easily exchanged digitally between Frankfurt and Bavaria.
This would allow for a quick completion even during the World Cup.
On the sporting side, Brown’s focus is initially on the German national team’s World Cup opener.
In the first group stage match against Curaçao on Sunday, the 22-year-old has a good chance of securing a spot in the starting lineup. National team coach Julian Nagelsmann particularly values his dynamism, versatility, and intense playing style.
For FC Bayern, Brown would be the first major transfer target of the summer.
Vincent Kompany is considered a strong advocate for the signing within the club. The Belgian sees the Frankfurt player as someone who can be deployed both as a traditional full-back and in more attacking roles on the left side.
Once the final financial details are ironed out, the move should be a mere formality. Currently, there are strong indications that FC Bayern will be able to officially announce its first major summer signing in the coming days.
