Bruno Fernandes equals the Premier League single-season assists record after registering his 20th of the campaign on Sunday.

The Manchester United captain set up his side's third goal, scored by Bryan Mbeumo, in a 3-2 meeting with Nottingham Forest. That contribution drew him level with Thierry Henry, in 2002-2003 for Arsenal, and Kevin De Bruyne, in 2019-2020 for Manchester City.

Fernandes was recently named player of the year in England.

He has scored eight goals in 34 Premier League matches this season. A Portugal international with 87 caps and 28 goals, he has been a United player since 2020.

He can become the sole holder of the record on the final day next Sunday, when United play Brighton at 17.00.
