A new season has started, but Cristante continues to be Roma’s reference point in the midfield.

Bryan has just begun his eighth year in the Giallorossi jersey, just as he ended the previous ones: as an undisputed starter.

He has remained a constant for every coach, from Di Francesco to Gasperini, including Mourinho, De Rossi, Juric, and Ranieri – writes Il Messaggero.

With 320 appearances for the Giallorossi, he could enter the top 10 players with the most appearances in Roma history this season.

During Gasperini’s Atalanta days, he played more advanced, but over the years, he has moved further back, becoming a player similar to De Roon, the Goddess’ cornerstone in recent seasons.

A year ago, the rift with the fans seemed irreparable. Along with Pellegrini, he had been the focus of criticism under Juric.

In January, he was close to leaving, but negotiations with Fiorentina never materialized.

Then he too regained his energy and confidence under Ranieri, managing to win over the fans. With the arrival of Gasperini, who strongly wanted him in the team, rejecting Como’s offer, any doubts disappeared.
