Manchester United have confirmed that Bryan Mbeumo (26) and Benjamin Sesko (22) will miss international duty this month to focus on recovery and fitness, Sky Sports has reported.

Mbeumo will not join up with Cameroon for their friendlies against Australia and China, following his substitution in the 71st minute of Friday’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth. The decision comes as the club monitors the winger’s workload after a demanding period in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Sesko will sit out Slovenia’s matches against Hungary and Montenegro to fully recover from an issue that Manchester United have been managing carefully over recent weeks. Both players are expected to be available for the club’s upcoming Premier League clash with Leeds United on April 13.

The withdrawals come amid a busy international window, but United will welcome back Noussair Mazraoui, who missed the Bournemouth game due to illness. Mazraoui has now recovered and will join Morocco’s squad for friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay.

Manager Michael Carrick and the United medical team will be closely monitoring Mbeumo and Sesko in the coming weeks to ensure they are fully fit for the run-in, as the club looks to consolidate their Premier League campaign while balancing the demands of international football.

With key fixtures approaching, the club will be keen to maintain momentum and protect their players from unnecessary risk.
