Bundesliga Team of the Week – Matchday 30 | OneFootball

With Matchday 30 behind us, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, set up in a 4-3-3 formation. 

Goalkeeper:

Finn Dahmen, Augsburg

Played a key role as Augsburg produced an upset against Bayer Leverkusen, making a total of nine saves in their 2-1 win.

Defenders:

Christopher Trimmel, Union Berlin

Marie-Louise Eta’s debut as Union Berlin interim coach did not go according to plan, as the capital side lost 2-1 at home to Wolfsburg. Trimmel did all he could, though, with the veteran contributing offensively with five key passes.

Stefan Posch, Mainz

Rock solid in Mainz’s 1-1 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Posch won an impressive 11 duels for the ball.

Matthias Ginter, Freiburg

Also won 11 duels to help Freiburg to a hard-fought 2-1 win over Heidenheim with a strong defensive performance.

Alphonso Davies, FC Bayern

Named Man of the Match by Bayern fans after their title-clinching 4-2 win over Stuttgart, Davies was lively on the left, scoring once, winning four duels and completing 96 percent of his passes.

Midfielders:

Jens Stage, Werder Bremen

Produced a brilliant brace to guide Werder to a 3-1 Nordderby win over Hamburger SV.

Fabian Rieder, Augsburg

Stepped up to score both of Augsburg’s goals against Bayer Leverkusen, including a late winner, while also impressing with his passing play.

Cameron Puertas, Werder Bremen

Another key performer in Werder’s win over HSV, Puertas registered four key passes, scored once and provided one assist. 

Strikers:

Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim

The Croatian showed composure as he scored twice from the penalty spot to earn Hoffenheim a vital 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.

Harry Kane, FC Bayern

Rested for one half ahead of Wednesday’s DFB-Pokal semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen, Kane came on at half-time and quickly scored to take his tally to 32 league goals, effectively putting the game to bed.

Yan Diomande, RB Leipzig

Was a constant threat against Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring once, producing three key passes and completing four dribbles.
