Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw's double helped Jamaica to a 3-2 Concacaf Championship qualifier win over Nicaragua.
Jamaica’s record scorer extended her tally to 61 when she drew her nation level as half-time approached.
The hosts had taken the lead from the penalty spot with Sheyla Flores firing home just before the half-hour mark, only for Shaw to pounce on a Tiffany Cameron cross to equalise.
Our number nine then doubled her tally in the 58th minute with a clever flick, before Shania Hayles added a third with around 20 to play.
Shaw turned provider for that strike to ensure she had a hand in all three of Jamaica’s goals.
Nicaragua pulled one back with ten to play through Nuria Marquez to set up a nervy finish, but the Reggae Girlz held on for an important three points.
The victory ensures Jamaica sit top of Zone B qualifying with a 100% record from their two matches so far.
Meanwhile, Sacha Lewis and Lily Murphy featured in England Under-20s’ 1-0 victory over the Netherlands.
Lewis started the game in Alicante as Carolina Ascent’s Chloe Hylton’s scored the only goal in narrow victory.
Murphy was a late substitute as the Lionesses saw out the victory and they next face Mexico in their final fixture of the international window on Friday 6 March.
