Burnley announce the arrival of Armando Broja | OneFootball

Burnley have completed the signing of striker Armando Broja from Chelsea on a permanent deal worth up to £20 million.

The Albanian striker moves to Turf Moor on a five-year contract, bringing an end to his long association with Chelsea that began when he joined their academy as an Under-9 player.

Despite his talent and potential, first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge were limited, with the 23-year-old making just 38 appearances across all competitions since his debut in 2020.

Broja went on loan spells at Vitesse, Southampton, Fulham and Everton, where he struggled to establish himself due to injuries. He is looking forward to making an impact for his new employers.

“I am really excited to be here as a Burnley player,” he told Burnley’s official website.

“It’s a positive time to be joining this club ahead of the start of the new Premier League season. I can’t wait to get going!

“I can already feel the support from the Burnley fans – I can tell you all that I will be giving my all every time I pull on the famous claret shirt.”

Broja is Burnley’s 13th signing of the summer window and the third from Chelsea, following the earlier acquisition of Bashir Humphreys and Lesley Ugochukwu.

They are keen to adequately bolster their squad to cope with the demands of Premier League football on their return to the top flight from the Championship.

They will wrap up their preparations for the new season with a friendly against Lazio on Saturday, seven days before taking on Tottenham Hotspur in their 2025/26 curtain raiser.
