Italy are reportedly ready to call up Burnley winger Luca Koleosho for the Nations League against Germany if Mattia Zaccagni does not recover.
The first leg kicks off at San Siro on Thursday at 19.45 GMT, while the decider is in Dortmund on Sunday evening for a place in the Final Four.
Mateo Retegui pulled out today with a muscular problem, while Andrea Cambiaso and Zaccagni both skipped training and will not be ready for the first leg.
Coach Luciano Spalletti said in today’s press conference he could call in Cagliari striker Roberto Piccoli or Roma trequartista Tommaso Baldanzi if Zaccagni does not recover for the Dortmund trip.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim this evening that Burnley winger Koleosho has been put on hold and asked to be ready to fly out at a moment’s notice.
The 20-year-old was born in the United States of America and has played for the USA, Canada and Italy at various youth levels.
Most recently, he represented Italy at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 competitions.
Coming up through the Espanyol system in Spain, he moved to Burnley in 2023 and this season has two goals in 26 Championship games – the English equivalent of Serie B.
