The Confederation of African Football CAF confirmed that the 2025 CAF Awards will take place in Rabat, Morocco on Wednesday 19 November with the ceremony kicking off at 18:00 GMT.

The glittering annual gala will once again celebrate the finest footballers, coaches and teams across Africa recognising their outstanding performances for club and country over the past year.

Among the key categories are:

  • CAF African Player of the Year (Men & Women)
  • CAF Coach of the Year (Men & Women)
  • National Team of the Year (Men & Women)
  • Club of the Year (Men & Women)
  • CAF Young Player of the Year

CAF confirmed that all nominees have been published setting up another thrilling contest for continental supremacy.

Big names headline the men’s shortlist

The men’s category features some of Africa’s biggest global stars:

  • Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool)
  • Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/Paris Saint Germain)
  • Victor Osimhen (Nigeria/Galatasaray)
  • Serhou Guirassy (Guinea/Borussia Dortmund)
  • Denis Bouanga (Gabon/LAFC)
  • Zambo Anguissa (Cameroon/Napoli)

Among other nominees.

Nigeria’s presence is strong across the categories — with Stanley Nwabali (Goalkeeper of the Year) and Daniel Bameyi (Young Player of the Year) joining Osimhen among the finalists.

Women’s category led by Barbra Banda

In the women’s awards, Barbra Banda (Zambia/Shanghai Shengli) looks to defend her crown facing competition from Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak and Sanaa Mssoudy, along with Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade & Esther Okoronkwo.
