Côte d’Ivoire will face Mozambique this Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 17:30 GMT in the opening match of Group F of CAN 2025.

The Elephants kick off their title defense against the Mambas. Emerse Faé’s men are looking to build on their successful 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.

On the other side, Mozambique has never won a match in the Africa Cup of Nations, having been eliminated in the group stage in all four of their previous appearances.

Emerse Faé lamented the absence of Sébastian Haller due to injury, with Evann Guessand called up as a late replacement in Morocco. He has also left out key players such as Nicolas Pépé, Simon Adingra, and Jérémie Boga.

Mozambique will rely on Mandava, Domingues, and Mexer, but will be without Nanani, Chico, and Clesio.
