Senegal defeated Egypt (1-0) on Wednesday night to secure their place in the final of the2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The winning goal was scored by Sadio Mané.

Against Morocco, Sadio Mané will play his third CAN final—and it will likely be his last. The star himself announced this after the match, raising speculation about an imminent international retirement.

Speaking about the match, the son of Bambali said: “We knew how tough this game would be. We knew the strength of the Egyptian team and tried to learn from our past experiences.”

“I am going to play my last CAN final, and I will give everything to win it for my country,” the Al-Nassr winger told BeIN Sports after the match.

Sadio Mané has already played in two CAN finals, in 2019 and 2022. While he lost the 2019 final to Algeria (1-0) in Egypt, he delivered the trophy to Senegal in 2022 in Cameroon.

Senegal beat Egypt in the final on penalties, with the decisive spot-kick converted by the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich winger.
