If there was one team in Liga MX that knew how to maximize its resources, it was Chivas. Not only did the club build a highly competitive squad in terms of talent and overall quality, but under Gabriel Milito’s clear leadership, it also found ways to help players reach their full potential.
It’s no coincidence that Guadalajara dominated the league’s U-23 minutes requirement in both the Apertura 2025, with 3,634 minutes, and the Clausura 2026, where it logged a total of 4,115 minutes. Those numbers are a reflection of the continued growth of our young players under Milito’s guidance.

Miguel GómezThe young defender has shown he’s ready for the big stage and has delivered in high-pressure situations. Beyond handling his defensive responsibilities, “Migue” has also proven he can contribute in attack. A perfect example came in the first leg of the Semifinals against Cruz Azul, when he delivered a pinpoint cross just four minutes after coming on, setting up Ángel Sepúlveda for Chivas’ second goal of the night.
Santiago SandovalWith his speed and direct style of play, “Sando” was a constant threat for Guadalajara. He stepped up whenever his number was called and delivered in key moments. The best example came in the second leg of the Quarterfinals against Tigres, where his brace sent Chivas through to the next round.
Armando González“Hormiga” enjoyed a dream season. He finished as the top scorer in AP25 and earned his place as one of Mexico’s attacking options for the FIFA World Cup 2026. One of his most unforgettable moments came in last season’s Mexican Clasico, when his goal secured a victory on the home field of Chivas’ fiercest rival.
Samir IndaWho didn’t get goosebumps watching his Liga MX debut? It took the defensive midfielder just nine minutes to shake up Estadio AKRON with a stunning left-footed strike against Necaxa, a goal that still echoes around Chivas’ home.
