A SHOW OF STRENGTH IN FLORENCE

“We did what we had to do. We approached the game well and managed it well, both when in possession and when out of possession. We deserved to win, but this is only the end of the first leg, there is still the second leg to play, and when the time comes, we will need to be able to reproduce the same performance as we did in Florence. There’s still a long way to go.”

SERIE A WOMEN RETURNS

“We were coming off a very good run in the league before the two draws, against Lazio and Ternana, and we had also made up quite a few points on the teams ahead. Clearly, these two draws set us back to being eight points off top of the table. They were two completely different matches: against Lazio we dominated and fully deserved to win, but we didn’t manage it; against Ternana, on the other hand, we played poorly.

“We need to get back to playing as we know how, trying to be dominant throughout the match. In terms of our approach to games, nothing changes: we have to try to win every match and then see what happens ahead. If the teams ahead of us drop points, we’ll be there. Playing to win every time is necessary because there is an important goal to reach: qualification for the next edition of the Women’s Champions League, preferably in second place.”

ON MILAN

“It will definitely be against a team that play good football, and one that changed quite a bit in January because they lost and gained some players. They are a team that always try to play, and they’re young. We expect a match that we need to attack in, making it clear from the start that we are going out there to win.”

ANNALISE RASMUSSEN

“She has trained twice with us. She is a player we have studied thoroughly on video; she is a girl with a very strong physical build and she’s very young, so she has huge potential to improve. She is clearly a player we are placing great trust in for the future.”
