Cardiff City have confirmed their promotion back to the Championship after defeating Reading while Stockport County dropped points due to a last-gasp equaliser from a goalkeeper.
The Bluebirds knew all they had to do was win and hope the other result went their way to finalise their promotion to the second tier.
Indeed, Cardiff were 1-0 up going into half-time thanks to Rubin Colwill while Stockport County were winning at the break in their fixture against Exeter City.
However, that all changed in the second 45 minutes. In Reading, Omari Kellyman made it 2-0 to the visitors before Daniel Kyerewaa pulled one back to give fans some nervous moments.
Then in the 86th minute, Perry Ng popped up to make it 3-1 to the Welsh side and ensure they put up their side of the bargain.
Any Cardiff fans keeping an eye on the game in Exeter saw the home side equalise against Stockport who then made it 3-2 in the 77th minute.
However, the most dramatic turn of events deep into stoppage time when goalkeeper Jack Bycroft went up for a corner and headed in to make it 3-3 – earning his side a vital point and ensuring Cardiff's promotion.
