Carlo Ancelotti has extended his Brazil contract until 2030, less than a month before the 2026 World Cup begins. According to L'Équipe, the Italian signed the new deal on Thursday.
In charge for under a year, Ancelotti, 66, took over in May 2025 after his time with Real Madrid ended. This is his first job as a national-team head coach.
The World Cup runs from 11 June to 19 July, and this will be his first major tournament in the role.
His 10 games to date have produced 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats, largely friendlies aimed at preparing for the tournament.
He has spoken of arriving a year ago and immediately grasping football's significance in the country, highlighting a year of tireless work to return the national team to the top.
He and the CBF want to push further, seeking more victories, more time and more work. The extension gives him a full cycle through to the 2030 World Cup.
