Carlo Ancelotti hails Real Madrid youngster after win over Real Valladolid | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has moved to reveal his appreciation for the latest efforts put forth by Blancos talent Raúl Asencio.

Real Madrid were of course back in action on Saturday night, making the trip to Real Valladolid for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the reigning Spanish champions emerged on the right side of a 3-0 result, courtesy of a Kylian Mbappé hat-trick.

Also playing his part from the off at the Estadio José Zorrilla, meanwhile, was the aforementioned Raúl Asencio.

Amid the ongoing personnel problems in Real’s squad, youngster Asencio was made use of in a new position, on the right of the club’s backline.

And the 21-year-old, once again, went on to thoroughly impress.

Drawn on the performance put forth by Asencio during his post-match press conference, boss Carlo Ancelotti was therefore full of praise:

“Asencio? Raúl was good. He’s not used to play there but he showed he’s fast, very focused.”
