Carrillo misses Corinthians training with fever, opener involvement still possible | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, André Carrillo had a fever and skipped Corinthians’ Thursday morning session at CT Joaquim Grava.

The midfielder has been treated and could still be named for Sunday’s Campeonato Paulista opener against Ponte Preta at Neo Química Arena, kick-off 16:00 Brasília time. He is expected to rejoin full training on Friday.

Raniele and Memphis Depay are in the final stages of recovery and also trained indoors. Rodrigo Garro, who underwent surgery on the scaphoid in his left wrist, is not expected back until the Supercopa Rei against Flamengo on one February.

Yuri Alberto travelled to Italy in recent days to obtain Italian citizenship and is due back at Corinthians on Friday. José Martínez is still seeking the reissue of his Venezuelan passport to return to Brazil.

The players began the day with a gym activation. Dorival Júnior then oversaw tactical work focused on attacking movement, followed by a defensive drill with attacking transitions. A physical top-up completed the session.
