Casillas says he does not want José Mourinho back at Real Madrid | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Iker Casillas has said he does not want José Mourinho, still Benfica coach, to return to Real Madrid, adding that there are better coaches in Spain.

The former Madrid goalkeeper made the remarks in a quick-fire challenge hosted by influencer Adri Contreras, again casting doubt on a reunion.

Asked to pick between José Bordalás and José Mourinho, he chose the Getafe manager, a call that sparked swift reaction on social media.

The exchange reopened discussion of their fraught spell together. During Mourinho’s time at Madrid, Casillas lost his starting place, one of the Portuguese coach’s most debated decisions at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Casillas has lately said he bears no personal issue with Mourinho and recognises his qualities, but maintained his stance while stressing his respect for the coach’s career.
