Andrée Jeglertz’s side lock horns with Brighton at Wembley in the competition’s showpiece on Sunday 31 May, with kick-off set for 15:00 (UK).

The Blues secured passage to the season’s finale after a dramatic 3-2 win over Chelsea in the semi-final which followed successes over Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Birmingham.

And it will bookend a fantastic season after we lifted the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League title during the top-flight campaign.

For Casparij, the potential of winning a league and FA Cup double for the first time in the Club’s history is a tantalising prospect.

“I’m so excited,” the Netherlands international declared.

“It’s my first time [playing] at Wembley with this Club, so I’m just really excited to play there and to also play a final with the potential to win a double which is going to mean a lot to us, but also for the organisation.

This may take a few seconds. Press play when it’s ready.

“Winning a double this year would mean so much and that is so important and it’s definitely something we really, really want.

“High stakes, but these are the games we love to play.”

The FA Cup final between City and Brighton will be the third times the teams will have met this season after two closely contested encounters in the WSL.

Jeglertz’s side won the first bout 2-1 at the Joie Stadium in September before Dario Vidosic’s team were victorious in the reverse fixture at Broadfield Stadium in April.

The Seagulls also booked their place in a first-ever FA Cup final after coming from two-goals down away at Liverpool to secure a 3-2 last-four triumph.

And Casparij is anticipating another tough test from Brighton in London on Sunday.

“I think Brighton are a really good team,” she added.

“They’ve got a lot of individual quality. Tactically, they’re strong as well, and they had a really good plan against us [in the 3-2 defeat in the league].

“They exploited some of the spaces we didn’t necessarily want to be exploited. Also, looking at the first half, a big thing for us is to be really clinical up front.

“We need to have a good game plan and also finals are games of their own. You can prep all the tactics you want and they always end up being weird games which you can’t predict.

“I’m really excited and I hope it’s a fantastic game for both teams and both clubs, but also for all the fans.”
