CD Castellón return to training on Wednesday ahead of Sunday’s 18.30 kick-off against Andorra at SkyFi Castalia. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, movement in the market is expected this week, with Serpeta potentially seeking a loan and winger Adnane Ghailan on the radar, while Rubén Catalá is being lined up for the B team.
Ghailan, 25, is impressing this season in Primera RFEF with Europa. He grew up in Rocafonda, the neighbourhood known worldwide for Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
He joined Europa to play for the reserves and made his first-team debut in March 2023. His Segunda RFEF bow came in January 2024 at 23, finishing that season on nine outings and one goal. In 2024/25 he hit 10 in 36 as Europa won promotion, and this term has four in 22, with a move to SkyFi Castalia said to be close.
The Catalá deal would see the Alcoyano striker join the club’s Segunda Federación side. The 22-year-old, 1.90 metres tall, has four goals in 17 since arriving last summer from La Unión Atlético.
He previously featured for Sevilla’s academy teams, Montijo, Levante’s youth and B sides, and Alcoyano’s youth set-up where he developed. Born on 31 January 2003, Castellón must pay his release clause to secure him, and in Alcoi his departure is viewed as a formality. If completed, he would be the second winter addition for Castellón B after centre-back Ismael Fadel from Yeclano, and further exits to trim the squad are not ruled out.
