CD Castellón will join LaLiga's Jornada Retro with a limited-edition shirt inspired by their last top-flight season. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the 100 Erreà shirts, released at 21.30 on the club's online store, sold out in under 12 hours.

In black and white with red numbers, the design nods to the club's classic look and the good old days for supporters. It is not a replica, rather a modern take shaped by contractual commitments and LaLiga regulations. The manufacturer is Erreà instead of Lotto, and current sponsors remain.

The shirt was unveiled alongside other participating clubs at Madrid Fashion Week. Buyers receive special packaging created for the occasion and a QR code that unlocks additional content linked to the shirt.

The kit draws from the 1990/91 campaign, Castellón's most recent year in Primera División. It pays tribute to a fondly remembered spell that brought promotion in 1989, survival in 1990 and a final season in the elite in 1991.

Club legends took part in the launch, with goalkeeper Emilio Isierte and defenders Javi Valls and Alfredo Monfort featuring in the promotional video. Monfort also appears in stills shot at SkyFi Castalia, joined by current midfielder Diego Barri.

LaLiga's Jornada Retro runs from 10 to 13 April. Castellón will be away at Mirandés, with the exact date to be confirmed. Broadcasts will feature retro graphics and a dedicated visual identity, part of what is described as a pioneering initiative in European football.
