CD Castellón have signed 22-year-old midfielder Nacho Vizcaíno from Cádiz to strengthen Castellón B for the 2026/27 Segunda Federación season. He arrives after a standout loan at Real Jaén.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, his exit from Cádiz was virtually certain once he missed first-team pre-season and was not in Mirandilla’s plans. He attracted suitors, even agreeing personal terms with Talavera and drawing interest from Girona B, but Castellón closed the deal.
With Jaén he played 29 league matches and was a key part of promotion to Primera Federación via the play-off after a fifth-place finish in Group IV. He also made his Copa del Rey debut in the first round, a defeat to Eldense.
Vizcaíno is primarily a holding midfielder, though he can operate elsewhere in the engine room. Ball recoveries and tempo control earned him a starting role for much of the first half of last season, before his influence dipped at times later on.
Before Jaén, he completed 2024/25 with Cádiz Mirandilla, logging 1,986 minutes across 27 Segunda Federación games and scoring once. The yellow reserve side were relegated to Tercera Federación.
He came through CD Diocesano in Cáceres and, as a youth player, drew interest from Roma, FC Barcelona and Granada before joining Sevilla’s academy.
