Rafael Leao’s future at AC Milan remains uncertain, and two Premier League sides have come forward to express interest.

A recent report from La Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Milan are confident about building around Leao in the future, but that will not stop speculation about an exit, especially with no Champions League football.

According to what our colleagues at CaughtOffside are reporting, Milan could ‘realistically let him go for more like €75m’ compared to his €175m release clause, which no club will touch. A move to the Premier League could be on the cards, more specifically London.

The report claims that Chelsea ‘have initiated informal contacts’ over a potential move for Leao, while Arsenal are also considering an approach. Both sides believe the Portuguese is a ‘top talent who could shine in the Premier League’.

Chelsea’s interest is currently the most advanced, with some initial talks underway, while Arsenal are keeping an eye on Leao as ‘a possible alternative to their top target’, Athletic Club winger Nico Williams.

Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League are also keen on Leao but he would rather stay in Europe. Thus, it seems that Chelsea have a ‘clear advantage’ in the race to land the 25-year-old, especially given relations between the two clubs are so good.

Arsenal are ‘probably the more impressive project right now’ given their progression under Mikel Arteta. Thus, if the Gunners were to accelerate things, then Leao would have a decision to make.
