The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) has set prize money for the 2026 Copa do Brasil, aligning it with a revamped format that adds two rounds. The champions can earn up to R$ 99.25 million, slightly below the maximum possible in 2025.

Around R$ 500 million will be distributed across participants. Payments per round fall up to the semi-finals, but the finalists receive more.

Clubs slated for Série A in 2026 will start in the fifth phase against the 12 survivors from earlier rounds, and could collect R$ 96 million with the title. In 2025, Corinthians began in the third phase and took about R$ 97 million with the trophy.

The field expands from 92 to 126 clubs. The first four phases are single-leg ties, then from the fifth phase onward ties are two-legged. The 2026 final will be a one-off match on 6 December.

The opening phase features 28 teams without a place or low in the Ranking Nacional de Clubes, with home advantage decided by draw. The 14 winners join 74 newcomers in the second phase.

The third phase adds the champions of the Copa Verde, Série C, Série D and the Copa do Nordeste, with Confiança inheriting the spot from runners-up Bahia. They join the 44 clubs who advanced previously.
