CBF sets date and time for Copa do Brasil fifth-phase draw | OneFootball

CBF has set the Copa do Brasil fifth-phase draw for Monday 23 at 14:00 Brasília time. The federation announced the details for the stage that will feature Flamengo.

All 20 Série A clubs enter only at the fifth phase. The fourth stage is being played this midweek and will produce 12 qualifiers to complete the 32-team field, after which 16 ties will be drawn.

Flamengo could be paired with any of the 12 fourth-stage winners or with four other Série A sides, all placed in pot 2 alongside Flamengo.

Flamengo are the second most successful club in the competition with five titles, behind Cruzeiro’s six. Their triumphs came in 1990, 2006, 2013, 2022 and 2024.

Last season they went out in the last 16 on penalties to Atlético-MG. To claim a sixth crown this year, they would need to overcome five opponents.

Separately, the Libertadores group-stage draw takes place on Thursday 19 in Luque, Paraguay, where Conmebol’s headquarters are located.
