CD Castellón add Hércules friendly as pre-season schedule nears completion | OneFootball

CD Castellón have almost finalised their summer programme, adding a friendly at Hércules CF. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the tie is set for Friday 7 August at 19:30 at the José Rico Pérez in Alicante.

The schedule again blends training at the Ciudad Deportiva Globeenergy in La Coma, Borriol, with a camp in Olot, Girona. Only the opponent for Wednesday 22 July remains to be confirmed.

Pre-season opens on Saturday 18 July against CE Sabadell at the Ciudad Deportiva Globeenergy, which will stage friendlies for the first time. Newly promoted to Segunda División, Sabadell will also be league opponents, at home on matchday two and away on the final day.

On Saturday 25 July, Pablo Hernández’s side visit the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna to meet Valencia CF, a regular summer fixture and a test against top-flight opposition. The Girona camp features Girona FC on Wednesday 29 July, then Deportivo Alavés at the Campo Municipal de Olot on Friday 31 July, repeating last summer’s meeting.

The closing week brings two games within 24 hours, away to Hércules on Friday 7 August, then Levante UD at the Ciudad Deportiva Globeenergy on Saturday 8 August. That will be the final run-out before an away start at Real Sociedad B the following weekend.

Meanwhile, summer works at SkyFi Castalia include safety upgrades, new VIP areas in the Tribuna Alta, reorganised media spaces, and improvements to the dressing rooms and gym. The squad return next week for medical tests.
